Our company kept talking about a DYL 2.0 that would integrate SalesForce for the first time. And we kept talking about it to new customers, even though there was no movement. After a year, I decided that as the only employee with experience in front-end development, I needed to do something. To start, I had to convince leadership that I was the person to handle this project. That a reskin would streamline the onboarding process for new customers, ease training for new hires, and, most importantly: look great.
For months, the reskin took days and nights, nights and days, weekends, and holidays. I coded the three deep cut pages of our site in HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript (with some templating) to ensure that developers after me(shout out to Baroukh Ovadia for being such a pleasure to work with) would have the ability to maintain and change DYL without rocking the functionality. After I built out the more-than-a-bootstrap inspired by Google's material design library, I hired a UI designer to make some finishing touches. Ultimately, the launch of our new software and subsequent marketing efforts led us to our 2nd year on the inc5000 list; it increased our customer retention by 32% and increased revenue by 44%.
Below are a few more prominent examples but I designed and prototyped hundreds of pages, interactions, and micro-interactions. I have most of the original code or screenshots available upon request. Please feel free to contact me.
